Candle Care Kit
This Candle Care kit is a MUST HAVE for anyone who enjoys candles. These two simple tools will keep your Larrabee candles burning bright, clean & lasting longer. It includes:
Candle Wick Trimmer This long-handled and angled tool allows you to easily keep your wick trimmed and removes any build-up (soot, mushrooming) at the same time. You want to keep your wick trimmed to about 1/4 inch (6.35 mm) for each burn.
Candle Flame Snuffer This long-handled tool features a metal cap used to extinguish the candle's flame. It's a safer alternative to blowing out the flame (can result in splashing wax) AND prevents and carbon build-up from contaminating your scented wax pool for future burns.
Each candle care kit is packaged in a cloth bag (pattern will differ for every order)! The bag can be repurposed however you choose.
PLEASE NOTE: Since Larrabee candles are made from 100% natural soy wax, make sure you allow it to burn for 3 hours (or until the entire circumference of the candle wax has melted) the first time you light your candle.
CANDLE CARE GUIDELINES
CANDLE CARE GUIDELINES
Here's a few tips on how to properly care for your LARRABEE candles & get the best burn from them every time:
- The first time you light your candle, you want to make sure you burn it for about 3 hours or until the melted wax pool has reached the outer ages of the vessel/container.
- Minimize the amount of wax left on sides of the vessel and damage caused by overheating by not burning longer than 2 to 3 hours at a time.
- Trimming the wick regularly to a quarter inch will help your candle burn at a slower rate.
- Always trim the wick before lighting. This avoids soot buildup & allows for an even & clean burn
- Use a candle snuffer to extinguish your candle. It avoids hot wax splashing as well as prevents soot from getting into the wax
- Always let the candle cool down completely after extinguishing the flame, before handling or moving the candle
- And always follow the proper candle safety protocol. Check the sticker on the bottom of your candle if you need a refresher.
By following these guidelines, you'll be getting the most out of your candles while enjoying them safely.
