There sit the bags of freshly picked apples… and there is no freakin’ way those apples will be consumed before they spoil. So, it’s time to bake! This happened in our house every year. My mom and dad would begin the mad rush to turn the fruits of our apple picking labor into pie, sauce, cake, crisp & crumble. Oh, those big brown sugary crumbs on top of the apple crisp... I am salivating for one now!
