Summer's in full swing and that means it's time for the wildest of the bunch: Who's Your Daddy?, the newest candle from Larrabee. I had set out to make a "daddy" candle scent would use "masculine" fragrances.  but still I waBut the more I thought about the idea that even scents have been gendered , the more I realized it was time to bust up that old binary and make a daddy scent for all!

So I experimented with masculine vs feminine,winter vs summer, hesavy vs light. End result? A blend of leather with summery notes like amber, sandalwood, bergamot, and touches of lavender and sugar. I

If you've checked out the winter collection, it's sort of like Midnight Mass' crazy cousin. Trust me, it's a curious mix that'll please discerning noses. 100% natural soy wax, no blends, no dyes or additives, handcrafted and hand poured. Who's Your Daddy?

Typically the summer months in the northern hemisphere are associated with "lighter" scents like florals and fruit. Winter scents are typically "heavier" like spices and musks, and often labeled as "masculine." Initially, I set out to make a "masculine" scent. But don't worry, I didn't fall into the binary trap. A complex world is better understood as a spectrum. So I used the the "masculine" scent of leather as my starting point and explored how to "summer it up." "Who's Your Daddy?" is the end result - a unique blend of leather, amber, sandalwood, bergamot, saffron, with hints of lavender & sugar.
