Apple Pie Moonshine and Bourbon Roasted Pecans

THE STORY BEHIND THE SCENT

The inspiration here comes from my work on the first two seasons of a television show that followed the folks who still make moonshine.
Apple pie moonshine may be a fancy cocktail today, but its origin is less about mixologists elevating their craft, and more about outlaws maximizing their cash.
The fruit was usually added to mask the awful taste of a bad batch so folks would buy it.
Apple Pie Moonshine features scent notes of apple, cinnamon and homemade moonshine. This candle has got a lot of southern charm with that kick you'd expect from a distilled spirit.

Earlier this year, on a trip back to New Jersey, I drove past the remains of the old Nabisco cookie factory. For years, it filled the air with the irresistible scent of baking cookies, a memory that shaped my love for gourmand fragrances.

It wasn’t until that moment I realized how much influence the factory had on my very first handcrafted candle, Get Baked. That warm, nostalgic cookie aroma started there, with every drive past those walls and the joy of catching that delicious scent.

Now, with our latest scent, Bourbon Roasted Pecans, I’m paying homage to the cookie factory’s legacy. Though it’s gone, its sweet influence lives on in ways I’m only just beginning to appreciate.
